School Choice

• We believe that parents know what is best for their children, not the government. We support policies that value students and parents instead of protecting the status quo. Government bureaucrats should not be able to trap students in low-performing schools and South Carolina needs true school choice so that every child has the opportunity for a great education.
  

• In South Carolina, judges are selected through a corrupt process that protects lawyers instead of the Constitution. The current system allows only select people to have input – and that system is controlled by trial lawyers and political elites. It is time to eliminate the backroom deals by allowing the entire Senate and House Judiciary Committees to vet judicial candidates with public questions.
  

Tax Cuts and Fiscal Responsibility

• South Carolina has the highest income tax rate in the entire Southeast. Despite having billions of surplus dollars in the state budget, elected officials have refused to cut taxes year after year. The state income tax needs to be cut and pork barrel spending needs to stop.
